Privirea se re\u00eentoarce spre acel timp tulbure care i-a format fiin\u021ba din prezent ; amintirile ce i-au marcat devenirea, moartea mamei sale \u0219i viciile ce n-au fost uitate revin cu ardoare \u00eenapoi la sine. Ascult\u0103m o confesiune: abandonul tat\u0103lui \u0219i fuga de acas\u0103, r\u0103t\u0103cirea prin cartierele Parisului, furtul comis \u00eempotriva familiei sale \u0219i durerea pe care o resimte \u00een cele din urm\u0103, apoi s\u0103r\u0103cia \u0219i suferin\u021ba \u2013 aproape tot r\u0103ul dorit tocmai pentru a-i da un motiv de condamnare. Se simte printre r\u00e2nduri o con\u0219tiin\u021b\u0103 care pulseaz\u0103 \u0219i care retr\u0103ie\u0219te dramatic experien\u021ba anilor trecu\u021bi.
